Austin. So little. So full of expressions and the biggest newborn stretch I’ve seen in a while ;)
At just 2 weeks this little love was fake sleeping and awake in a minute.
Big sis was oh so proud and such a sweet little girl.
Even while pinching her brother’s nose. LOL…It’s ok..she gave him a kiss after.
Family portraits in the studio are led with gentle guidance but it’s the in between moments that are my favourite.
Thank you S & K for entrusting me with your babies most treasured milestones. Over the years it’s been such an honour. I can’t wait to celebrate the next milestone together with you.

Growing families and healthy low tox homes: Durham Region Motherhood Studio Photography
First, second or third baby? Regardless, your family is growing and it’s such an exciting time! But with more little ones in the house it opens more doors for the germs to creep in. This month I am focusing on how to keep our homes and more importantly, our familles healthy with my all time favourite: Thieves Household Cleaner.
The importance of using a non toxic product to clean my studio and every surface in my home is huge. It not only kills germs for my family but helps to keep you and your family healthy too.
Thieves Household Cleaner is multi-purpose. I use it in the studio on all surfaces, kitchen, bathroom, floors, mirrors, glass, hardwood and so much more. Super concentrated and smells amazing, all you need is one capful. Add it to a 16oz spray bottle like these and top with water.
It also is a HUGE time saver. This plant based product does all the jobs to disinfect and clean and is baby and pet safe.
No need to wait for the “fragrance to leave a room” floors or surfaces to dry or crack a window because it stinks. This beautiful aroma consists of lemon, cinnamon, rosemary, eucalyptus and clove.

Here is a list of some ways to use it:
All Purpose-
1 capful of cleaner
2-3 cups of water
Spray liberally on surfaces & wipe clean

Glass & Mirror Cleaner-
3 cups water
1tsp white vinegar
Combine in Glass Spray Bottle
Add 5 drops of fav citrus oil (ie lemon or citrus fresh)
Spray surfaces and wipe clean with lint free cloth

A winter love story: Engagement Photography
The magic of an engagement session when the sun peaks through as the first snow of the month starts to fly. Yep it was SO cold but gah…so worth it.
Despite the bitter temps Mitch and Madison spiced things up keeping one another warm and looked AMAZING in the process.
I was and still am obsessed with their connection, emotions and this stunning backdrop to celebrate their engagement. There is something about the forest that envelopes you and stirs all of your senses to be present. Combine that with a photography session and just watch how it shifts your body language. You are more in tune with one another when surrounded by beauty and calm.
Like this moment right here. Only we knew that the wind was biting our toes and stinging our cheeks haaa.
The result…a gorgeous moment captured they will forever cherish.

upon arrival baby feeds off mom’s energy and emotions. So it’s extremely important for me when a new little one comes into the studio, I always match mom’s energy, which is excitement and a little emotional too. It usually hits mama when she arrives or during our session that I can’t believe how fast that year went.
Our Cake smash sessions always start with Classic portraits. During this time, baby gets used to being in a new space and can explore and the whole time I am documenting and creating the sweetest moments for mom and dad.

Welcome! If you are new around here, we are excited to have you join us. If you are coming back after the Christmas holidays and excited to see what PKP and Aspen Florist have in store for 2024 then welcome back!
We are all about celebrating Milestones that matter to Motherhood over here. Ones that I wish I could have when I was at your stage in life. Don’t get me wrong, they didn’t go undocumented. BUT I wish that I had gorgeous photographic memories to pass down to my children and generations to come.
So I THANK YOU for being here. I am honoured to document your little and BIG milestones as we journey through life together. From your engagements and weddings, to growing your family. The magic we create together fills my cup and the blank spaces on your walls. :). Win win right? How lucky am I that you are here.
So here we are at the start of a new year. New affirmations, goals and plans. Whatever that looks like for you promise me that you make time to celebrate the wins, the milestones and all the moments in between.
Life is too short. Time waits for nothing and nobody. Spend it with those you love the most. Make new memories and celebrate the blessing of life and connections with one another. Collect experiences, travel and laugh every day.

How to plan your Family Photoshoot: Oshawa Low Tox Motherhood Studio
Does the thought of planning a Family session give you anxiety or a headache? LOL It shouldn’t. But I get it. Mom to mom, I know the feeling of wanting beautiful photographs that you dream of but worry about xyz. even before you arrive.
Planning a Family session is simple:
- Contact the studio
-Set a date
-Show up on said date
It’s that easy. Leave the planning, the details and worry to me.
Regardless if you are a repeat client or not, the jitters in front of the camera is normal. Heck, even I do ;)
One of my favourite ways to avoid this is by using easy prompts. Especially when working with babies and children, since they feed off your body language and anxiousness. Things like, tickling, or kisses on the cheek, funny sounds (you all know what I’m talking about) or as simple as playing peek-a-boo.
New environments can be also be intimidating for little ones so keeping things light and fun always help
