Flying into Motherhood: Oshawa Durham Region Maternity Photographer
I will spare you the puns and play on words with this one. When Krysten reached out for a maternity session with both Meredith and myself, we found out that her husband is a Pilot. :) Celebrating the impending arrival of her sweet little daughter was something she really wanted to do. Krysten, we are so happy you did! We loved working with you and documenting this exciting time in your life!
Meredith always goes above and beyond to make you feel relaxed, polished and ready for the camera. She uses natural vegan products for even the most sensitive of skin.
She always nails it, even for those who don’t wear a lot of makeup!
Maternity sessions are so personal. You are in a beautiful, clean and calm environment that allows you to just be yourself. You are surrounded by light and the positive energy (and affirmations that you are glowing)
Getting to know you, listen to the excitement in your voice and making you feel “at home” while here has to be one of my favourite things.
You are going to love your session, that I promise. And when I ask you to bring something personal such as this onesie below…lol it’s PERFECT!
I love planning with you and leave the rest up to me. Have fun with your session mama. After all…it’s YOU that makes it so unique.
What every expecting parent needs to know when choosing a Photographer
If you’ve booked a Maternity session with us or are thinking about doing so Congratulations and Welcome!
I wanted to share a little blurb with you today about the importance of choosing the right Photographer for you. Our community has an abundance of styles, businesses and various levels of Professionals. It’s important to keep these helpful tips in mind:
Make sure you love your photographer.
I am not talking about just loving their work , I am talking about loving their personality. Do your research, inquire about their reputation, brand, ethics and dive into their testimonials to make sure this is the right fit for you. During your session (maternity, baby and beyond) you will be with your photographer a lot. Sometimes in close proximity. Maternity sessions are intimate at times (think of wardrobe changes, adjusting details to be photo ready and of course there are things about our growing bodies that we aren’t quite comfortable with). All completely normal and I am here to help, and to help you feel comfortable in the process.
Baby sessions are beautiful and at times intimate too, mom, if you are still nursing I want you to know that my home studio is quiet, clean and cozy for you to do so. Relax, I’ve got you mom.
In short, regardless of the session you are coming into the studio for, know that you will end up with beautiful memories and gorgeous photographs for you and your family to love. But if I can leave you with one tip today…love your photographer ;) We LOVE what we do and pour a lot into making sure your experience is everything it should be.
Have a fantastic day and see you soon

Amalia's Maternity Session: Toronto Oshawa Maternity Photographer
When I first connected with Amalia she informed me she was looking to capture her 2nd pregnancy with her little family. She also wanted to incorporate a sentimental outfit. So of course I couldn’t wait to see what this was. Amalia and her family came in from the west end of Toronto. Although they call Italy home, and are fairly new to Canada they are fitting and adjusting perfectly!
See those adorable overalls? They came all the way from Italy and Amaila’s mother wore them when she was expecting her. I mean…how cute is that? I LOVE when clients bring in a little piece of them and items that are sentimental. Call me old fashioned but it’s little details like this that really make your session that much more memorable.
Thank you Amalia and family. We had so much fun with our session and I can’t wait to welcome you back into the studio in the near future. All the best with your sweet baby girl! We can’t wait to hear of her arrival. xo
Jacquelyn's Maternity Glimpse
Today is International Women’s Day. So it only seems fitting for me to share with you one of life’s many blessings… Women. She is powerful, inspirational and does so much for us all every single day. Today I share with you an adorable new mom to be. Meet Jacquelyn. This sweet beautiful lady came into the studio for her Maternity session. She booked Hair & Makeup for herself. We work with Meredith from Makeup with Mer and she comes onsite in the studio to pamper our mamas before we start our photoshoot.
Once hair and makeup is done, mama gets to choose from our client closet and play dress up to look and feel her best before we start celebrating with her portrait session.
Our Maternity sessions in studio are always so special. Each one unique in their own way. Yes of course, we are in the business to make you feel and look your best. To be comfortable and to LOVE the experience from start to finish. But it goes beyond that. How I make my clients, my moms to be, the new moms and moms who have experienced losses feel after a photo shoot will live with them forever. It takes a team with a vision. I couldn’t do it without my amazingly talented team behind me. I promise that a portrait session is one that you will love regardless of what stage you are at in life.
The world needs more more moms like you Jaquelyn. Your grace, confidence and presence was so powerful that you were glowing. Thank you for sharing that with me. Thank you for trusting me to capture such an important time in your life. I adore you and can’t wait to meet your little baby girl one dat soon.
…
It is “I” that’s the lucky one.

Claire & Michael's Maternity Session
The first meeting I have with new clients when welcoming them into the studio is always an exciting one. One that is typically filled with a handshake or a warm hug. Although current days put a damper on that each client knows that it is a genuine excited warm welcome and that I am grateful to be celebrating with them.
LOL…enter Claire & Michael. I LOVED their connection, humour and silliness. They “claimed” to not know what they were doing when in front of the camera. I’ll let you be the judge….
And can we talk about this beautiful mama to be for a hot minute. Claire, you are stunning girl.
Did you know that you can bring in something sentimental for your session? Something that is unique to you, tells us about who you are and what you love to do.
Claire and Michael arrived with an idea in mine and it was perfect! Check it out…
Wishing you all the best mama. Thank you for travelling in from Toronto to come and celebrate your Maternity Milestone with us. Looking forward to seeing you in the New Year.
Narm & Spencer-Couple Maternity Session: Toronto Oshawa Maternity Studio
Happy Wednesday! We ll here we are well into January 2022 and in the dead of winter lol. Here in Southern Ontario we have just had our biggest snowfall that I can remember for at least 8 years. So today’s ray of sunshine blog entry couldn’t have been more needed.
These two ridiculously gorgeous people had a little baby boy on the way. Mom and Dad have since welcomed him to their family and he definitely inherited their good genes ;)
Mom borrowed gowns from our Client closet and each piece she chose paired perfectly with the session.
We have so many pretty photographs to share with you. The easiest way to do so is via a gallery. Let’s get to it shall we…
If you can’t tell by now, Spencer adores his wife Narm. He was so supportive and sweet throughout the session. I told him he raised the bar for all future dad’s to be lol. Long may that last! :)
and when I asked her to look at him…this was the resulting image.
Right?…. ALL THE FEELS.
Love it!
Till next time…have a great remainder of the day friends.
