The Journey to Motherhood: Oshawa Peterborough Maternity Photography
Excitement, anxiousness, scared… just to name a few feelings you go through. Needless to say it’s an emotional roller coaster. Especially if your journey took years to get there or you sadly experienced heartache along the way like I did.
Over the span of my entire career and that’s a very long time let me tell you (17 years and counting) I have had the honour of journeying with every mama that I’ve worked with. From a friendly ear to offering words of advise when asked to watching our friendship grow over the years. Not to mention watching your family as it grows too!
And I get to call this work…how lucky am I?
Thank YOU for trusting me with your most precious milestones.
Wherever you are in your journey or how long it took you to get to where you are today, know that I am always here for you. To lend an ear, to go grab tea/coffee or a bite to eat. I am your Photographer, a Friend and a Mother too. Sometimes you just need a friend who will listen.
Availability for Maternity sessions fills up quickly. If you are expecting or planning to book, please note that we suggest 2-3 months ahead of when you’d like to have your session.
Looking forward to working with you and celebrating these BIG Milestones in your life with you.
Happy Tuesday Mama!

What every expecting parent needs to know when choosing a Photographer
If you’ve booked a Maternity session with us or are thinking about doing so Congratulations and Welcome!
I wanted to share a little blurb with you today about the importance of choosing the right Photographer for you. Our community has an abundance of styles, businesses and various levels of Professionals. It’s important to keep these helpful tips in mind:
Make sure you love your photographer.
I am not talking about just loving their work , I am talking about loving their personality. Do your research, inquire about their reputation, brand, ethics and dive into their testimonials to make sure this is the right fit for you. During your session (maternity, baby and beyond) you will be with your photographer a lot. Sometimes in close proximity. Maternity sessions are intimate at times (think of wardrobe changes, adjusting details to be photo ready and of course there are things about our growing bodies that we aren’t quite comfortable with). All completely normal and I am here to help, and to help you feel comfortable in the process.
Baby sessions are beautiful and at times intimate too, mom, if you are still nursing I want you to know that my home studio is quiet, clean and cozy for you to do so. Relax, I’ve got you mom.
In short, regardless of the session you are coming into the studio for, know that you will end up with beautiful memories and gorgeous photographs for you and your family to love. But if I can leave you with one tip today…love your photographer ;) We LOVE what we do and pour a lot into making sure your experience is everything it should be.
Have a fantastic day and see you soon

Claire & Michael's Maternity Session
The first meeting I have with new clients when welcoming them into the studio is always an exciting one. One that is typically filled with a handshake or a warm hug. Although current days put a damper on that each client knows that it is a genuine excited warm welcome and that I am grateful to be celebrating with them.
LOL…enter Claire & Michael. I LOVED their connection, humour and silliness. They “claimed” to not know what they were doing when in front of the camera. I’ll let you be the judge….
And can we talk about this beautiful mama to be for a hot minute. Claire, you are stunning girl.
Did you know that you can bring in something sentimental for your session? Something that is unique to you, tells us about who you are and what you love to do.
Claire and Michael arrived with an idea in mine and it was perfect! Check it out…
Wishing you all the best mama. Thank you for travelling in from Toronto to come and celebrate your Maternity Milestone with us. Looking forward to seeing you in the New Year.
Narm & Spencer-Couple Maternity Session: Toronto Oshawa Maternity Studio
Happy Wednesday! We ll here we are well into January 2022 and in the dead of winter lol. Here in Southern Ontario we have just had our biggest snowfall that I can remember for at least 8 years. So today’s ray of sunshine blog entry couldn’t have been more needed.
These two ridiculously gorgeous people had a little baby boy on the way. Mom and Dad have since welcomed him to their family and he definitely inherited their good genes ;)
Mom borrowed gowns from our Client closet and each piece she chose paired perfectly with the session.
We have so many pretty photographs to share with you. The easiest way to do so is via a gallery. Let’s get to it shall we…
If you can’t tell by now, Spencer adores his wife Narm. He was so supportive and sweet throughout the session. I told him he raised the bar for all future dad’s to be lol. Long may that last! :)
and when I asked her to look at him…this was the resulting image.
Right?…. ALL THE FEELS.
Love it!
Till next time…have a great remainder of the day friends.

A Beautiful Maternity Couple
Meet Kaylie & Justin. Two adorable, hilarious and beautiful humans. I am just going to leave it here and post away from our GORGEOUS maternity session together.
I mean such naturals right? For a couple that claimed they were so awkward when having their pictures taken I knew the moment we met that this was going out the window lol.
Amazing work guys…I am SO excited for you and how your maternity memories are part of your family heirlooms.
Thank you so much for coming in and wishing you all the best!
Till we meet again.

Rita's Maternity Session
It’s December and it’s been 5 months since my last Blog entry….;( Thank you 2021 lol! Wow guys, it’s been a year hasn’t it? I am going to jump right back in and get caught up with a TON of sessions that we had over this past year. Today, I am starting with Rita & Sebastian’s Maternity session.
Their story is a pretty cool one. Mom is from Hong Kong and Dad is from France. It’s not everyday that you get to hear about where couples are from. They were expecting a baby boy who has now since been born.
Here are a few more from the Classic Maternity session we had.
Wishing you all the best and look forward to seeing you in the near future for some milestone sessions!
