Sleep & Sitter Sessions: Oshawa Motherhood Studio Photographer
First time mom or not. Once you have a little one you realize how important the role of sleep plays in growth and development. If your little one is a good sleeper then kudos to you! That’s amazing! However if you were like me and are struggling to find that “good quality sleep” that isn’t a 15 min power nap, then I am here for you mama lol
Drumroll please…I present to you Lavender! Nah mama hang on… this is NOT your Grandma’s :lavender scented soap, bathroom potpourri, full of toxins, smack in your face synthetic fragrances or other crap that gives you a headache and nightmares…this is the REAL deal.
And guess what? It will help you AND your baby and yourself fall asleep and stay asleep.
WHOOT WHOOT!
One of my regrets I have about Motherhood is not knowing about Young Living sooner. Hear me out…I don’t just say this because my family uses products daily. I say this with utmost sincerity that it would have made mommin’g so much easier and stress free.
Take Lavender for instance. It’s coined the “Swiss Army. Knife of oils”. Not only does it help with sleep and creating a beautiful calm and relaxing environment for babies and adults alike, it has SO many uses.
Things like, skin, emotional support, moods, bites, burns, stings just to name a few.
So what does this have to do with sitter sessions? Ever heard the phrase, happy baby happy mom? Yep that…a well rested baby makes for a happy natural session. It allows for me to photograph your little one with them being comfortable, relaxed and happy. Moments and memories that you as a parent will cherish.
If you’d like some more information on Lavender let’s chat.
If you use it already I am so proud of you! Or if you are ready to add it to your mom wellness kit I am so excited for you! You can find it here via my referral link and save yourself 24% off pricing and FREE Shipping from me. Drop me a line and let’s create a better sleep routine today.
Night Night! ;)

Creating calm Baby Milestone Sessions: Oshawa Baby Photography Studio
Hey mama,
Hope you’ve had a great week so far? Does anyone else feel like time is flying by but yet winter is still dragging on? Missing the sunshine desperately and I’d be lying if I didn’t do a little dance every time it pops out haaa. Although one way I’ve been keeping my mood and emotions in check is with a lot of support from Young Living. A lot of deep inhaling has been going on these days… :) If you’ve been here for a while you know that I started sharing YL to our Motherhood session and everyday life. It’s part of our daily routine around here, nothing new. But something I knew YOU and your littles would love to learn about too.

Speaking of scents, one of my fav’s to use with Baby Milestone sessions is Lavender. Calming, soothing, relaxes fussy or anxious babies (and nervous moms) It’s usually in the diffuser in studio and I like to wear a little too. It helps create an environment that everyone enjoys being in.
Plus…happy baby, happy mama = happy photographer :)
3 Cool Tips about scents you may not know:
Did you know that smell has the ability to bring back memories.
Keeps us present and grounded
and
Helps shift perspectives and brings greater awareness to our needs.
Pretty cool right? I am sure you’ve experienced that many a times in your life.
Have you ever experienced lavender? Real lavender? It’s such a complex beautiful smell. One of my bucket list’s is to travel to France and experience a Lavender farm. Another fun fact…Lavender is considered the Swiss Army of oils. Which is pretty fascinating knowing that this super oil helps you and your family in so many ways.
Sleep, healing, great for the skin, digestion and of course soothes the mind, body and soul. Just to name a few things it helps support the body with.
You and your baby’s experience in the studio matter to me. Helping to calm the nerves with you both so you are excited to create memories is what we pride ourselves in. Come in for the portraits and memories, stay a little for a serene experience that will fill your senses and heart.
If you have any questions about Lavender, or maybe I’ve peaked your curiosity to try some yourself, feel free to email me anytime. I’d love to share more with you on the product/s I love using. I know that you and your family will too! Or if you are ready to experience some yourself just follow this link to for a FREE account. Low tox living and every day motherhood is a beautiful friendship :)
As always, here if you have questions or just come for the pretty pictures. That's ok too :)

Little Liam: Ajax Oshawa Baby Photographer
Tiny, but mighty and oh so cute. Liam came into the studio with his family so that mama could remember and cherish her last baby. So often I hear of moms that for whatever reason did not do a maternity, newborn or baby session with their first child/ren. I too fall into that category. I was too self conscious of how I felt about my postpartum body and suffering from depression I missed out both times.
Images that I create for my clients tug at my own mama heartstrings. Images I wish I had done. This post is not to be a sad one but that of joy. I thank YOU for allowing me to document and create for you. They are your memories to cherish but they are also mine too. I couldn’t be more in love. So if during your session I sneak another cuddle or hang onto baby a little longer you’ll know what it’s all about lol.
I mean, just look at these adorable memories for Libera and her sweet family. Gah ;)
I think Liam agrees don’t you?
See you soon friends.

A Little Pumpkin Turns One!
Oh sweet Karlyn..how you captured our hearts.
Oh Hi! Meet Karlyn. Her sweet mama brought her into the studio to celebrate her 1st Birthday and boy was it ever a fun one.
Can we just take a moment to adore this gorgeous custom cake from Sweetery.ca. W e have worked with Danielle (baker extraordinaire) for the last 4 years. She is our go to for all our PKP and Aspen Little Sessions.
All natural ingredients. Custom made to order so you know it’s FRESH and tastes absolutely DELICIOUS.
Karlyn couldn’t wait to dive into this beautiful pumpkin cake.
Girl means business I tell ya lol.
Cake smash sessions in the studio are fun. We almost always start with some classic portraits first. I do this for 2 reasons:
To document your little one and their personality, newly learned skills and silliness
2. So you and your family have gorgeous classic and timeless portraits to add to your baby albums and to hang down through the generations.
Then we get to business. Cake sessions are a fun way to celebrate. In my experience, they either love it and dive right in…like sweet Miss. Karlyn, or they don’t. Babies who aren’t quite in love with cake, don’t like their hands getting dirty and while adorable to capture our sessions are baby led. When they have had enough, we stop shooting.
Scroll to the last image in this slideshow…she clearly had a ball!
Till next time, Happy Birthday sweet girl. We hope to see you again in the near future.

Baby Milestone- Leo
Meet Leo,
His stunning mama and dad came in to celebrate his arrival after we reopened from yet another province wide lockdown. A couple Maternity session was our initial booking. Since we couldn’t get that done we waited till Leo was a little bigger. Mom and dad are from Brazil and had planned to head south for 3 months to be with family. So we made sure to get a baby session in for them all prior to.
This little guy was so alert and cuddly. Loved hanging out with his mama but I could already tell that he was a daddy’s boy ;)
I mean…just look at that adorable gummy smile with Daddy. Soooo cute.
Thank you David, Livia and Leo for hanging out in the studio with me that day. I had an amazing time chatting with you and giggling at Leo’s amazing personality and expressions.
Have an amazing trip and we will see you when you return in the New Year!
xo
She's one year's old!
I seriously love my job! No…like seriously love it! Especially when it connects me to such amazing people who have little people that are equally as amazing. ;)
This little pudding’ is Audrey. She came in for her 1st Birthday celebration with her big sister. If you ever wonder what our Baby sessions are like, think of fun, snack breaks, speed and silliness. From time to time there are they shy ones too. But rest assured we take the time to let baby adjust to new surroundings.
Dance, Play, Pout, be sassy, throw tantrums and scream…ya know..the usual. And then in comes big sissy asking for hugs and kisses.
Of course we couldn’t miss the opportunity to capture this gorgeous girl. Meet sweet big sister Emery. The most adorable smile and so kind hearted. This girl is going places I tell ya.
She showed off some dance moves and her free spirited nature. I mean…soooo cute!
These two little ones had a blast. But what killed me was the poses and dancing we got from Audrey at the end of her session. Cause ya know…snacks are life right?
Look at that cheesy grin. Haaa…I think she was smelling it.
mmmmmm lol
See you soon sweeties… Thank you for hanging in the studio!
