Tips to soothe nausea during pregnancy: Oshawa GTA Low Tox Motherhood Studio
Let’s talk about Nausea. It affects so many of us at some point or other during pregnancy. IF you are one of the lucky few to not experience it during your pregnancy I bow down to you ;) I can totally remember suffering with it up until 14 -18 weeks.
Here few ways to use essential oils for support with nausea during pregnancy:
-Diffusing or applying topically are the most common ways to find relief. Oils such as peppermint, ginger are great for relief. Digize applied topically gives relief within a matter of minutes (they all do really).
-if using Digize rub on tummy/upper chest area in clockwise direction.
-make peppermint tea. Not a fan of hot drinks right now? That’s ok…try peppermint iced tea
If you suffer from stress related nausea:
There are a few stress supporting oils to consider: lavender, chamomile, black spruce and even orange will help you too.
Of course there are a ton of ways to help support you and your body. Play around with things and see what works for you.
Other natural ways to support and find relief from can look like applying a cold compress to neck and or forehead or even sucking on a ginger chew. Getting some fresh air and staying hydrated. Speaking from experience, try to refrain from lying down right after you eat also helps to avoid heartburn. Avoiding spicy or rich foods and pay attention to strong smells that act as triggers (things like gasoline, strong toxic cleaning products, paint, fish, meat or cheeses etc etc) For me it was chocolate milk and OJ…weird I know lol.
Peppermint and Digize have been my favourite go to’s. Now in full transparency here, I am not pregnant (door closed years ago) but I wish I had these amazing oils and aromatherapy tips back then.
Not everyone will love all of these oils or scents, and that is okay! You need to find what works for you.
If you are new to oils and feeling a little overwhelmed, know that it’s normal. I was there too. I read a TON!
We now have an amazing supportive and generous community to help that is there if you need it. And of course I am here for you when you are ready mama. If you prefer sitting to experience things in person, let’s set a date. Pop by the studio, grab a coffee or tea. Whatever you’d like :)
If you are planning ahead or just getting through the waves of it through the day, I highly recommend to give these a try. I promise your sanity and body will thank you. What do you have to lose?
