Stress less with Thieves: Oshawa Baby & Motherhood Studio Photographer
Congratulations on your newest little love! Brining a newborn home is one of life’s most precious blessings. You are now responsible for someone other than yourself and that can be pretty scary lol.
Newborns are pretty amazing right? Perfect in their own way. However, their immune systems are not strong enough to fight off all the other scary stuff that is out there. One of my favourite products that Young Living is so well known for is Thieves Household Cleaner. It’s the perfect go to multipurpose cleaner that will help keep your new baby (and family) healthy.
Here are 5 ways to keep your home clean naturally and non toxic.
Kitchen Cleaner: 1 capful of Thieves Cleaner into 2 cups of water ( I use a spray bottle) perfect for the fridge, stove, surfaces, sink, oven (great degreaser), inside the fridge and dishwasher to kill germs
Bathroom Cleaner: 1 capful of Thieves Cleaner and 1/4 cup of baking soda.. Use bristled brush for toilets/shower/sinks. Let sit for 5min before rinsing/flushing.
Floors: 1 capful of Thieves Cleaner and 4-6 cups of water. I always add 2-3 drops of lemon oil too. It’s perfect for hardwood or ceramic. Even your deck outside.
Toy Soak: 1 capful of Thieves Household Cleaner and 3 cups of water in sink or bucket. Let toys soak for 15 min to remove grime and hidden germs, all while providing a non-toxic sanitizer for your tiniest of human. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
Windows and Mirrors: 1 capful of Thieves to 2-3 cups of water in glass spray bottle. Zero streaks, 100% natural and ready for you to do it all again when tiny hands hit it’s surface lol
Hello easy button!

This sweet curly haired beaut has just been promoted to Big Sis! I have had the pleasure of watching her grow for the last 2 years. She, along with her sweet parents brought in her little baby brother for his milestone portrait recently and did we ever have an amazing session.
For those of you who have yet to experience what an event, newborn, baby & or maternity session is like in and out of studio I’d like to share with you a little about how things flow. PKP takes great pride in making you feel your best and excited to capture your most precious moments for you. You know..the ones that just HAVE to be documented professionally. The moments that matter to YOU and coincidentally to me too!
Meet Immaneul. He was 12 days new when we did his newborn portraits. Big sister, as you can tell is smitten with him.
As with any session, our goal is to make sure that you are comfortable, excited and well informed. When all these three details come together everything else flows naturally. When working with me you’ll know that I am relatively soft spoken. Gentle guidance is given but most of these amazing memorable moments come from you. I just love having the honour to document them for you. So come with an open mind, a calm heart and place your trust in me…knowing that I have something beautiful in store for you!

Thank you buddy, for gracing the studio with your calm, happy, serene nature and for allowing me to document this for your family heirloom albums. I can’t wait to watch you grow and welcome you back in for your upcoming milestone sessions. Mom, Dad and big sister S…enjoy him while he’s this little.
Tender moments, baby led, and perfect. Moments like these you will hold dear to your heart for a lifetime.
I can’t wait to create and see your beauty unfold through my lens.
Till next time Immaneul. Stay sweet and innocent.

Trumpet sounds…doo do do doooooo lol…Fresh new kid on the block for this gorgeous sweet family!
Hey guys! Happy Thursday ;).
Okay…taking a moment to appreciate the little details in life like wrinkly baby fingers. Meet Harper! This sweet baby girl made her intro earth-side a few weeks ago and she brought in her big brother, and gorgeous mom and dad for her newborn session. I was so excited to do this shoot for my repeat client as the last time I saw her we did a Simply Motherhood event with her then 8 month old son.
We had a fun, busy time during our session. Throughout our session I always keep things moving forward. Especially when we have toddlers involved. I know as a parent that you have a small window to work with when it comes to attention and patience. I must comment and and say that these 2 parents handled things like pros. Balancing a newborn and a toddler is not easy. Trust me I have been there…( mine are 11 months apart HA!…more on what life was like then another time)
That said, you shift focus. Yes ultimately your goal is to capture this beautiful new babe (and we did) however you need to realize and remember that as a toddler this new dynamic and routine is something they have yet to embrace. You are bound to have a slew of emotions and roller coaster days.
Making “new” older brothers or sisters feel like they are part of this experience is key and so important too. We captured Mason (big brother) for a few minutes and he didn’t even realize that the monkey in my camera was really his own reflection ;)
See more in the gallery below…
Our family newborn sessions are always natural and baby led. The most common question I get asked is what does a typical newborn session look like? My response…is baby led. Every session is different, unique and authentic. While we have some ideas of what is important to be captured, telling your story through my eyes, interactions, the experience is always one of a kind.
Thank you for trusting me with your sweetest littles and as always…a wonderful honour and journey to walk these fleeting milestone moments with you!
Enjoy and till next time!

When I was contacted to do a shoot for a sweet little one year old girl from this beautiful mama I was thrilled and excited. I knew right away what I wanted for her in studio. In comes Aspen Florist with the most gorgeous David Austin roses. Seriously tho, if you have yet to experience them in real life go see her. She manages to find the most brilliant, heavenly and stunning roses I know.
