Family is everything….
This beautiful family I have the honour of calling mine. Meet my sister Danielle and her husband Andrei. Danielle is the talented owner of Danielle Petrik Sweetery. If you have yet to enjoy her baked goods and ridiculously addictive sugar cookies you got to hit her up for some. ;)
Danielle is no stranger to the PKP Family. She has been baking for years for all of our Studio Milestone sessions and events.
Her crazy fun and gorgeous girls and I had a lot of fun during our shoot. I think mom and dad did too…. We missed one, my nephew was unable to make it but we will make a point of doing this again for 2022. It is LONG overdue.
Crazy how I document hundreds of families and milestones but when it comes to my own, I always seem to miss the boat with timing. This year we have made it our priority. So stay tuned.
Family sessions are little adventures. Often times mom and dad are stressing. It’s natural I get it, you spend a lot of time planning, purchasing new outfits, investing in your photography session. Trust the process. Trust your photographer, be yourself and enjoy the moment. All will come together. This I promise you.
Your portraits although skillfully documented with gentle guidance are loved and cherished when you are have fun.

Journeying with this family has been one of the amazing highlights of my Business over the last 4 years. I met Erin way back with she was expecting sweet Etta and we held her maternity session in studio with the talented Lisa from Aspen Florist. You may remember it here.
Fast forward to multiple milestones later, it was time to create some as a Family. And well hello…. they KILLED it with a Golden Hour session. Check it out…

Annual Growth: D'Onofrio Family Glimpse
Meet Fran and Mike. I have had the utmost pleasure of knowing this gorgeous family for the last 5 years. During this time I have watched their adorable children grow along with Fran’s business The Hungry Homemaker Blog.
Fran’s values are catered around her family, and so every year she tries her best to update her family photo’s and to create new memories with her children. As a Photographer this is one of the highlights of my job. Documenting and growing with clients and friends.
Sweet little Emilia wondered if I was still following her…yep I got you honey ;)
Daddy’s girl much? Mmmhmm…wrapped I tell ya. But I don’t think Mike minds one bit!
When planning Family Portraits outdoors we take into consideration the time of year. Our location and of course your family’s style. We also plan for what your goal is after your photoshoot is complete. Are you planning on gifting your portraits? Keeping them for keepsakes? A little of both?
Fran’s colour palette was bang on for our session together. Planning your family portrait session doesn’t need to be overwhelming. That ‘s what I am here for. Flynn and Family
Do you guys remember little Flynn? He came in when he was a wee babe with his mama. She wanted to capture him before he grew any older. He was stinking cute then and is still stinking cute.
Mom reached out to book a Fall Family session with me and we hopped in the car to meet up. The colours this week were amazing.

Sessions with toddlers are never dull. A ton of fun, lots of laughs, some up and downs and a ball of energy.

PSA…no toddler was harmed in these frames. Snake slithered off so I am sure it was fine too :)

New Addition: Sigalas Family Glimpse
Would you look at these STUNNING David Austin Wedding Roses from Aspen Florist. Julianna reached out to the studio to book our David Austin Baby Package with Aspen Florist to celebrate the arrival of her 2nd daughter.
This sweet little lady joined the S. Family and busy, excited big sister. Mom and Dad named her to most sweetest old soul and sentimental name…Delilah Jaye.
Miss. Delilah…you are so loved. Your big sister is a ball of energy and can’t wait till you are old enough to run around and play. Until then, welcome to the family sweetie. Your Uncle Jaye would have adored you so.
