Thank you for booking a session with Petra King Photography. It's always a WONDERFUL pleasure to meet new clients and embrace repeats!  For those of you whom I've had the honor of photographing over the years and watching your children and families grow, you will know that the memories we create are displayed in your home with pride and love.  It's very humbling for me and awesome that I get to create these works of "art" just for you! For my future clients, both young and old, our time and sessions are going to be fantastic!  I am so excited to meet you, to get to know you, and your children.  Not to toot one's own horn, but I love kids and I can gaurantee that we can get a few smiles during our session.  Believe me it also works with newborns ( although between you and I...we all know it's just gas!) LOL.

I hear you want to have some photographs taken?  Well..choosing YOUR photographer is an important decision.  Regardless of whom you choose, here are a few things you may want to consider when going through your decision making process.

Every once in a while, I am asked why I do what I do?  Why I charge what I charge.  Let me explain a bit for you.

"I" believe that photos play a very important role in our lives.  They have a unique way of lasting much longer than our natural memories.

They also remind us of where we came from and usually bring with them warm fuzzy feelings inside. They keep us mindful of how really precious life is.

Technology today has taken George Eastman’s dream (Mr. Kodak) and kicked it up a huge notch.  No longer do we have to wait months to have our photos processed and printed, results of a photo session are edited and retouched professionally and ready within 5-7 days.  Digital photography makes this possible. Cameras have come a long way.

We  just happen to have a keen eye and a good sense of timing to capture those precious moments that you’ll end up treasuring forever. Weather it be during a pregnancy, the first days or weeks of a newborn’s life or a photographic record of your family together, you might want to try us out. We’re good at what we do, you won’t be disappointed!

SIMPLE,PURE & FUN!

One thing I do NOT do is take your images and run out to Walmart or other small bulk labs to process the artwork for you. A lot of time, work goes into processing my images.  I edit each and every photo by hand to make sure that they look their best.  I create custom work for you, for your family to cherish for years to come.

When you book a session with Petra King Photography, you are not investing in a chain superstore or studio, where often, you are rushed in an unfriendly , pushy enviornment.  I give each session the time needed to make sure  you are comfortable, relaxed and enjoying the experience.  I take the time to get to know you and your children. Not just as a photographer but as a friend.  These relationships have been the back bone of my success.

Ajax, Durham Region, Holland Landing Family Photographer Petra King:: Thankful for wonderful clients

Early Monday morning I travelled up to Holland Landing taking in all the gorgeous colours along the 404.  The weather was overcast, chilly and perfect for Fall portraits.  I have had the absoltue pleasure of watching this beautiful family grow.  I met them back in 2007 and they still make me feel like I am part of their family.  Even sweet Chaos (the family chocloate lab) came bounding outside to greet me.  He wagged his tale, checked me out and off he went lol. I LOVE watching my clients children grow.  I've known R since she was just about a year old.  So to see her sprout into a lively, sweet, beautiful TALL 4 year old, it makes my heart fill with love and blessings.

Karissa..here are your sneak peeks.  Loved spending Thanksgiving morning with you and hope you enjoyed you had a great Thanksgiving Weekend!
