Today made my heart smile.

Today gave me peace.

Today showed me love.

Today left me with all the WONDERFUL things that our dear Lord has given us from above.

Today, I was blessed to be welcomed into a warm home ( no heat jokes Andrew lol) with two amazing people. Who both embraced me with the most calm, relaxed and wonderful sense of humor I have ever come across in a long time. For new parents who are so sleep deprived and full of excitement over the arrival of their so, they made my job today SO easy. SO natural and such an honor.

WOW! Just WOW! I had the most awesome surprise as I opened up the newspaper yesterday. The section for the Ajax Durham Region Readers Choice Awards were listed. A GINORMOUS thanks to all of you for voting for Petra King Photography. You certainly have outdone yourself this year! I'm very honored and blessed to have won a Diamond award for my business. Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Without the support,love of photography and your trust in myself, I wouldn't be where I am today. So this one goes out to all of you!

Thank you for booking a session with Petra King Photography. It's always a WONDERFUL pleasure to meet new clients and embrace repeats! For those of you whom I've had the honor of photographing over the years and watching your children and families grow, you will know that the memories we create are displayed in your home with pride and love. It's very humbling for me and awesome that I get to create these works of "art" just for you! For my future clients, both young and old, our time and sessions are going to be fantastic! I am so excited to meet you, to get to know you, and your children. Not to toot one's own horn, but I love kids and I can gaurantee that we can get a few smiles during our session. Believe me it also works with newborns ( although between you and I...we all know it's just gas!) LOL.

Saying that, if you are like me, I NEED visuals. I LOVE seeing my work displayed in my clients homes. It's such an awesome feeling knowing that they are so proud to show it off to everyone they know. I hear you want to have some photographs taken? Well..choosing YOUR photographer is an important decision. Regardless of whom you choose, here are a few things you may want to consider when going through your decision making process.

Every once in a while, I am asked why I do what I do? Why I charge what I charge. Let me explain a bit for you.

"I" believe that photos play a very important role in our lives. They have a unique way of lasting much longer than our natural memories.

They also remind us of where we came from and usually bring with them warm fuzzy feelings inside. They keep us mindful of how really precious life is.

Technology today has taken George Eastman’s dream (Mr. Kodak) and kicked it up a huge notch. No longer do we have to wait months to have our photos processed and printed, results of a photo session are edited and retouched professionally and ready within 5-7 days. Digital photography makes this possible. Cameras have come a long way.

We just happen to have a keen eye and a good sense of timing to capture those precious moments that you’ll end up treasuring forever. Weather it be during a pregnancy, the first days or weeks of a newborn’s life or a photographic record of your family together, you might want to try us out. We’re good at what we do, you won’t be disappointed!

SIMPLE,PURE & FUN!

One thing I do NOT do is take your images and run out to Walmart or other small bulk labs to process the artwork for you. A lot of time, work goes into processing my images. I edit each and every photo by hand to make sure that they look their best. I create custom work for you, for your family to cherish for years to come.

When you book a session with Petra King Photography, you are not investing in a chain superstore or studio, where often, you are rushed in an unfriendly , pushy enviornment. I give each session the time needed to make sure you are comfortable, relaxed and enjoying the experience. I take the time to get to know you and your children. Not just as a photographer but as a friend. These relationships have been the back bone of my success.

I have listed a link below about the pricing of custom photography. I recommend that you take a few minutes to read up on them. I am also attaching a few Before and After images that I have edited so you know exactly what you are paying for when you choose me as your photographer. And yes, I have a "good camera"...but I also know how to use it. ( An ongoing joke between my photographer friends)
