This sweet curly haired beaut has just been promoted to Big Sis! I have had the pleasure of watching her grow for the last 2 years. She, along with her sweet parents brought in her little baby brother for his milestone portrait recently and did we ever have an amazing session.

Meet Immaneul. He was 12 days new when we did his newborn portraits. Big sister, as you can tell is smitten with him.

As with any session, our goal is to make sure that you are comfortable, excited and well informed. When all these three details come together everything else flows naturally. When working with me you’ll know that I am relatively soft spoken. Gentle guidance is given but most of these amazing memorable moments come from you. I just love having the honour to document them for you. So come with an open mind, a calm heart and place your trust in me…knowing that I have something beautiful in store for you!

Thank you buddy, for gracing the studio with your calm, happy, serene nature and for allowing me to document this for your family heirloom albums. I LOVE meeting new families in studio. When proud new siblings walk right in and announce that they have a new brother and or sister and start taking off shoes and coats to make themselves at home. That’s usually a good sign that they are comfortable. While us adults giggle about it, and try to exchange welcomes as we get them in and seated.

You’ve just played that scenario in your mind right? LOL Yep it’s pretty much how it unfolded and our newborn sessions are always fun and entertaining when a 2 yr old and newborn are in studio!

But amid the excitement comes the sweetest moments. When a new Dad kisses his baby to help calm them when fussy. To cuddle and soothe and soak in that newborn smell.

And when a new mom to be gently kisses her son’s head…these in between moments are those that are the truest. Unplanned, not posed, just pure perfection. They pull at our heartstrings and stay with us forever.

Newborn Baby Portraits : Christmas Photography

I have so much blogging to catch up on ;) The 12 Days of Christmas was so much fun and I can't wait to meet all of you in 2012! The last month has been so busy both in studio and out. We've had newborns, and babies, and toddlers and and even the big kids! All filled with excitement and wonder that leads up to the most wonderful holiday of the year. Or at least my favorite anyways.
