Life happens fast we need to savor these moments and delight in the love and passion of our family. I consider it an honor to have families invite me into their lives and I will welcome the opportunity to be your familiy’s photographer and create something special for you and those that you love. I do not work out of a studio. I specialize in lifestyle, on-location photography. My goal is for you to be most comfortable. I do travel with lighting and photography props if indoors and when outside use natural lighting.
By offering on-location photography, your pictures are as unique as you are. So relax and know that you do not need to pack up your newborn, relax at home while I work with the baby. Feel free to sit back and watch or put your feet up!
Newborn Sessions:
Since we can never be 100% when your little one will arrive, when you contact me for a session we will schedule one around your due date. Once your new bundle of joy arrives, kindly add me to your list of people to call. We will then set up a date for your session. Your newborn session should take place between 3 and 10 days.
Newborns are best photographed within the first 7 days. Day 4 is a favorite as mom’s milk should have come in, the baby is feeding well, sleeping lots and curls up really nice. The sweet curl that all newborns do best happens 7 days and younger. We can also get the baby to do a lot of other fun poses that we are unable to do when they are past 10 days. We can also avoid baby acne, cradle cap and colic booking an early session. Please contact me while still pregnant so that we can ensure to book a session for you while the baby is still small.
I also like to photograph mom and dad in with your new baby. Once captured you realize just how tiny they once were. We can do a variety of poses to choose from.
Maternity Sessions:
An expectant mother is a miracle. Capture the beauty of this special time in your life and cherish it for a lifetime. Your Maternity session generally should be booked any time between your 6th and 9th month. Since all pregnancies are different, you want your belly to show and still be relaxed and beautiful! Pregnant women are gorgeous, let’s show everyone how gorgeous YOU are!
What to wear:
Simple is best. Solid colours work well. In general white should be avioded. Please be wary of busy patterns, logos when choosing outfits. Things like these can be distracting when photographing your beautiful family. I want to keep the focus on you and your newborn and not the clothes that they wear. The creative fee pays for my time and talent during the session, post production editing and private online viewing gallery only. The viewing gallery will display your best images about 2 weeks after your session and will remain online for 4 days during which you will need to place an order if you so choose. After you order your favorite images, they will be ready for pick up (or mailing) in about 2-3 weeks.
I look at your images as an heirloom I do not want to rush. QUALITY TAKES TIME!
